tooth whitening

What is tooth whitening?
It is a process that lightens discoloration and removes stains from the enamel and dentin of the teeth.

What causes teeth discoloration?
There are many causes, the most common include ageing, consumption of staining substances (coffee, teas, colas, tobacco), trauma, tetracycline (antibiotic) staining, excessive fluoride, and nerve degeneration. You're advised not to have staining substances for 48 hours after whitening procedure.

Who should use teeth whitening?
Nearly anyone wanting to brighten stained or yellowed teeth can benefit from using Apollo Secret whitening, even people with serious food, coffee or tetracycline stains.

Is the procedure painful?
Not at all and the entire whitening process is performed without any anesthesia and takes 40 minutes only and there is no chance to swallow chemicals.

How does the in-surgery whitening compare to at-home whitening products?
The Appollo Secret in-surgery tooth whitening system gives you consistent, immediate and dramatic results in 40 minutes, while at-home products take weeks to produce varied results.

Why my teeth are not whitening evenly?
Sometimes the biting edges and the sides of the teeth whiten more quickly than the rest of the teeth. This occurs because your enamel is thinner in these areas and responds faster to the whitening process.

Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth with carbamide peroxide and/or hydrogen peroxide under the supervision of a dentist is safe for teeth and gums. In fact, many dentists consider this whitening process the safest cosmetic procedure available today.

Are there any side effects?
Some people experience some tooth sensitivity to cold during the treatment. Others have reported temporary discomfort, such as gum or tooth sensitivity. These symptoms ALWAYS disappear within 1-3 days after interruption or completion of the treatment.
